Born and raised in Birmingham, UK, I started my journey to becoming a designer via Loughborough University School of Art and Design where I studied a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art, specialising in sculpture, lens-based media and digital art.
Off the strength of my graduation exhibition I was then offered the position of Graphic Designer for a range of companies including a bespoke kitchen company, a stone flooring company and (believe it or not) a flatulence filtering underwear company. Being in-house I found myself spanning disciplines beyond my role and played a large part in evolving the marketing strategies for each company, using measurable results and my own experiences to develop my skills and strengthen the company’s positions in their respective markets.
Having, in the Director’s words, “changed the face of the companies”, a short 2 years later I played an integral role in establishing a new company in the form of a Design Agency. I then had the opportunity to develop new client processes in order to inform the work of the studio. At that time I was Senior Designer to a small team of Junior Designers and a Photographer, whom I assisted with their professional development, and established a strong company culture built on creativity, a ‘strategy first’ approach and a love for Aldi’s wide variety of biscuits.
I continued in this position for a further 3 years before relocating to Melbourne with my Australian partner, where I now operate as a freelance designer and marketer. Based on my 14 years of experience, I continue to develop my skill-set and processes to utilise the latest tools, stay up-to-date on the latest trends and develop simple and effective strategies to help my clients achieve their goals.
My skills and experience have also led me to working with Creative Brew, who specialise in Brand Strategy, where (in addition to drinking an obscene amount of tea) I have assisted their wide range of clients in the areas of branding, marketing and design. I have also played a major role in the development and deployment of their workshop and online eCourse that aims to teach small business owners and entrepreneurs the branding and marketing strategies that are utilised by the world’s biggest brands in a way that they are able to implement in their own companies.
And now, nearly 10 years after moving to Melbourne, I’m looking for my next challenge, my next experience, my next cup of tea, and my next opportunity to make a positive change in the world.

To empower and assist others in enacting social progression and positive change in the world.
To always be open, honest, helpful and transparent, and keep the lines of support and communication open at all times.
To take a user-centric approach with a focus on engagement over advertisement and to keep the audience in mind at all times.
To distill value and create impact by removing distractions and therefore reducing waste.
